Cortisol Collection

Many of our studies involve the collection of cortisol, which is a hormone in the body. Cortisol is important in waking us up in the morning and keeping us alert during the day. It also helps us respond to stress. At the Gunnar Lab, we are particularly interested in how different life experiences affect cortisol responses throughout the day and at times of stress. We collect cortisol through saliva samples. Once collected, we keep your child’s information entirely confidential and do not share it with any sources.

If you have any questions about the cortisol collection process, please give us a call at 612-624-4351.
