Positive Behavior Support (PBS)

Research interests

  • Early Intervention: Focused on understanding the impact of identifying and supporting children with disabilities early in their lives, particularly within early childhood education settings, to enhance long-term development.
  • Behavioral Interventions: Exploring the effectiveness of strategies such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in fostering student success and improving outcomes.
  • Assistive Technology: Investigating the role of tools like communication devices, screen readers, and adaptive equipment in promoting learning and independence for students with disabilities.

Current Projects

  • ASD General Population Survey (Uzbekistan)
  • MN ACT Early-MN Act Early: A program that promotes early identification and intervention for children with developmental delays across Minnesota, providing resources to help improve their outcomes.
  • ICI TeleOutReach Lab Participant: The ICI TeleOutreach Lab uses technology to train and support people with disabilities and their families. 
  • District/State Policies-District/State Policies are rules made by school districts or the state to guide how schools are run and ensure quality education.
