About

These freely-available video resources were produced by the University of Minnesota and Generation Next for schools and other educational organizations to use to address what we refer to as “school-based relationship gaps.”

The project originated in former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak’s charge to “rethink achievement gaps.” Research in this area led us to conclude that while many young people have rich relationships outside of school, they may not have the sorts of relationships in school that are trusting, respectful, and that can support and guide them effectively.
