Lija Greenseid is the Principal Evaluator at Greenseid Consulting Group where she has provided evaluation consulting services to clients in the fields of public health, education, and social services for the last four years. Previously, Lija was a Senior Evaluator with Professional Data Analysts in Minneapolis. Her PhD is in Quantitative Methods in Education and Program Evaluation from the University of Minnesota. Lija has taught graduate-level courses in survey research and qualitative research methods at the University of Minnesota. She has co-authored twelve articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented frequently at state and national conferences.

Description

In this workshop, participants will be learn the basics of designing and conducting an evaluation through lecture, discussion, small-group projects, reflection, and other interactive activities. Topics covered include: evaluation definitions and concepts, purposes of evaluation, steps in the evaluation process, program evaluation standards, logic models, data collection methods, reporting, and budgeting.

Purpose

Participants will gain a greater understanding of evaluation and evaluative thinking, learn practical evaluation approaches and tools, and apply learning directly to a real world case and their own work.
