Lakes International Language Academy (LILA) is a K-12 charter school in Forest Lake, Minnesota. LILA is a langauge immersion school with Mandarin and Spanish tracks, as well as International Baccalaureate curriculum for all students. The school is IB accredited for the Primary Years Programme K-5, Middle Years Programme 6-10 and is currently under review for the Diploma Programme 11-12. LILA offers a diverse environment that embraces culture and offers students exchange opportunities in Spain and China, with many international teaching staff in the classroom. Multi-tiered Systems are implemented in English and target language depending on tier and subject area.
LILA is especially interested in reviewing internship applicants who will show competencies in:
- Conducting assessments for special education eligibility K-12
- Supporting the Multi-tiered System of Supports implemented school-wide
- Supporting and training staff in meeting mental health, behavioral, and academic needs of students.
- Intervention design and implementation for meeting mental health, behavioral and academic needs.
This internship is open to applicants from all language backgrounds, with bilingual skills being preferred.
